Where is the village Delden and Perron1 (Platform1) ? Draw a fictitious line from Amsterdam to Cologne and Düsseldorf and halfway is the village Delden (Overijssel) close to the border of Germany.
In the splendid nature surroundings of the manor Twickel, where a Medieval Castle can be found is the village of Delden. The village used to be called Stad Delden because of it's municipal rights from era 1500.
Now Delden is part of the 'Hof van Twente' which is a joining of five small councils.
At the edge of the borough is the characteristic train terminal which was not so long ago a waiting room and Ticket office. Now the building is used partly as a design studio and in what once was a waiting room, the exhibition space from the initiative M.I.K.C, the gallery Perron 1.
The ticket office has been replaced by a machine and two times per hour trains from the direction Zutphen, Enschede and Germany pass by. The area is still a place where many people wait for trains and also the bus to come.
